Understanding Perfume Notes
Top Notes
Top notes are the first scents you notice after applying perfume. They create the initial impression and are often fresh, bright, or light.
Middle Notes
As the top notes fade, the middle or heart notes become more noticeable. They form an important part of the fragrance’s overall character.
Base Notes
Base notes develop later and tend to remain on the skin for longer. They add depth, warmth, and richness to the fragrance.
